CreateLevel vs Spacely, Mnml, Dehome, ReRoom, Gendo, NewArc and InteriorAI

Eight photo-in, photo-out design platforms in one table: price per render, which ones have object-level masking, which read a sketch, and which still can't leave the room.

CreateLevel vs Spacely, Mnml, Dehome, ReRoom, Gendo, NewArc and InteriorAI

Eight platforms, one category

Spacely AI, Mnml, Dehome, ReRoom, Gendo, NewArc and InteriorAI do the same basic job as CreateLevel: you give them a photo and get back a redesigned one. Past that they differ a lot on price, on whether you can edit one object without regenerating the whole image, and on whether they work on the outside of a building at all.

Every figure below comes from each platform's own pricing page, checked in September 2026. Pricing and free tiers in this market change often, so check the two or three you shortlist before you pay.

The eight platforms at a glance

"Not advertised" means the feature doesn't appear in that platform's public marketing as of this comparison. It may still exist: some tools show a capability in a demo video and leave it off the spec sheet.

What $19 to $100 a month buys

The sticker price and the cost per usable render are different numbers, and the gap between them decides whether a plan is worth paying for.

Masking: the feature most of this list skips

Masking (also called inpainting) lets you paint over one object, such as a sofa, a wall or a roofline, and regenerate only that area. Without it, changing one thing means regenerating the whole image and gambling with everything you already liked.

Confirmed on this list:

  • CreateLevel: object-level masking on every paid plan, including the $7 pass.
  • Gendo: in-canvas masking and selective inpainting on every plan, including the free one.
  • Spacely AI: masking ("Point and Edit") is on the Pro tier only.
  • InteriorAI: masking and wall and lighting edits arrive only on Premium, at $99 a month.
  • Mnml, Dehome, ReRoom and NewArc don't advertise a dedicated masking or inpainting tool as of this comparison. Ask them directly if partial edits matter to you.

Sketch and drawing input: who reads your lines

A sketch-to-render mode lets you draw a rough layout, like a box for a sofa or a line for a roofline, and get position and proportion for free. The prompt then only has to describe finish and material.

  • CreateLevel: sketch-to-render from a blank drawing, plus draw-on-photo for masked edits, on every plan.
  • NewArc.ai: drawing-to-image is the product's headline feature.
  • InteriorAI: Sketch2Image, on Premium and above.
  • ReRoom: lists a sketch-to-image mode among its editor tools.
  • Gendo: accepts a sketch or massing model as input, aimed at architects more than hand scribbles.
  • Spacely, Mnml and Dehome don't advertise sketch or drawing input. All three are photo-and-prompt tools.

Interior, exterior, or both

Roughly half this market never leaves the room. CreateLevel, Mnml and Dehome cover interior and exterior on the same plan. Gendo is architecture- and facade-first, and interiors are its weaker side. Spacely's exterior support is limited next to its interior tools. ReRoom, NewArc and InteriorAI are built for interiors and treat exteriors as an afterthought at best.

Which platform fits which job

None of them is right for every case. Here's a practical read of the table:

  • Redesigning your own home, inside and out, without hiring a studio: CreateLevel. One $19/mo plan covers both, with masking and sketch input from the cheapest paid tier.
  • An architecture studio rendering massing models with a team: Gendo, if a floor of roughly $100 a month fits the studio's budget.
  • Facade-heavy exterior work across many styles: Mnml.
  • The cheapest one-off credits with no subscription: Dehome.
  • Sketch-first concept work before a photo exists: NewArc.
  • Paying specifically for interior masking and staging tools: InteriorAI, but only on the $99/mo Premium tier. The $49 Pro tier below it runs a lower-quality model.

What this comparison can't tell you

Every number here is a snapshot. Plans, credits and free tiers in this market change often, and a platform can add masking or exterior support after this was written. Use it as a shortlist, and check the current pricing page of anything before you pay for it.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI interior design tool has real object-level masking?
CreateLevel and Gendo include it on every plan, including free or entry-priced ones. Spacely AI keeps it on its Pro tier, and InteriorAI on the $99/month Premium tier. Mnml, Dehome, ReRoom and NewArc don't advertise a dedicated masking tool.
What is the cheapest AI interior design subscription?
By sticker price, Dehome's $9.99 one-off pack and CreateLevel's $19/month plan or $7 pass are the cheapest ways in. The cheapest plan may not do what you need, though: Dehome doesn't advertise masking or a sketch tool, so check what a plan includes before comparing on price alone.
Is there an AI tool that handles interior and exterior design in one plan?
CreateLevel, Mnml and Dehome all cover interior and exterior on the same subscription. Gendo leans exterior and architecture-first. ReRoom, NewArc and InteriorAI are interior-focused with little or no exterior support.
Is CreateLevel cheaper than Spacely, Mnml or InteriorAI?
At the entry tier, yes. CreateLevel starts at $19/month with masking included. Mnml starts at $29/month. Spacely quotes subscription pricing on request instead of publishing it. InteriorAI starts at $49/month, and its editing tools don't unlock until the $99/month Premium tier.
Does Spacely AI have a masking or point-and-edit tool?
Yes. Spacely calls it "Point and Edit", and it's a Pro-tier feature, so it isn't on the free or base plan.
What's a good NewArc.ai alternative with masking included?
NewArc is strong on drawing-to-image input but doesn't advertise a masking tool. CreateLevel has the same sketch-to-render input plus object-level masking on its cheapest paid plan.
Are these prices and features still accurate?
They reflect each platform's own pricing page as checked in September 2026. Pricing and free tiers in this market change often, so confirm current terms with any platform before paying.
